Applications on prescribed proforma alongwith attested photocopies of all relevant
documents and non refundable application fee of `.200/- (`.50/- in case of SC candidate(s)) by means of
Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director Principal, GMCH, payable at Chandigarh and a recent passport
size photograph, are invited for filling up of following posts:-
NAME OF THE POSTS :Senior Resident,Casualty Medical officer
(General Medicine & General
Surgery),Resident Anaesthetist,Senior Resident (Hospital
Essential qualifications & experience required:Postgraduate Medical Degree i.e. (M.D./M.S./M.D.S/
D.M./M.Ch/DNB) OR equivalent in the concerned
specialty (recognized by MCI and registered either
with Medical Council of India or State Medical
Council). If such candidates are not available in any
UPPER AGE LIMIT AS ON 01.01.2017-2018
A) FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS, RESIDENT ANAESTHETIST & CASUALTY MEDICAL
OFFICERS (GENERAL MEDICINE & GENERAL SURGERY):
33 years and in case of post doctoral degree holders is 35 years [Relaxable 3 years for
OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants (THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL). In case of
widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are
not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
B) FOR DEMONSTRATORS, MEDICAL OFFICERS (MO)/ LADY MEDICAL OFFICER
(LMO) and EMERGENCY MEDICAL OFFICER:
30 years for MBBS and 33 years for PG degree holder) [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5
years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants (THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL). In case of widows,
divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not
remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
5. RESERVATION AND RELAXATION:
(I) The reservation and relaxation in the upper age limit will be made only for the
category of the posts reserved for such categories, as per the instructions issued by
the Government of India from time to time.
(II) The SC/OBC candidates applying against un-reserved posts are not entitled to any
relaxation in upper age limit.
(III) The claim of the candidate to SC/OBC (not BC) categories will be considered only
when accompanied by the certificate issued by the competent authority in the
prescribed format. Only those OBC category candidates will be considered,
whose caste is falling under OBC category in both the Central List and the
Union Territory, Chandigarh List.
6. PAY SCALES:
a) FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS, CASUALTY MEDICAL OFFICERS AND RESIDENT
`.15600-39100( With initial start of `.18750/-) carrying Grade Pay `.6600/- +
allowances as admissible as per orders of the Government issued from time to time.
b) FOR DEMONSTRATORS.
Pay scale: `.10300-34800( With initial start of `.13450/-) carrying grade pay
`.5000/- + NPA (for Medical Graduates only, if admissible).
(c) FOR MEDICAL OFFICER (MO) / LADY MEDICAL OFFICER (LMO) & EMERGENCY
Pay scale: `.15600-39100 carrying grade pay `.5400/- + NPA if admissible.
Application fee of `.200/- (`.50/- for SC candidates) (non refundable) in the shape of
Demand Draft, payable at Chandigarh, drawn in favour of Director Principal,
Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh alongwith application
duly completed should be submitted in the office of the undersigned on or before
17.06.2017-2018 upto 04.00 PM.
8. WRITTEN TEST & INTERVIEW
The Date, Time and Venue of Written Test & Interview will be intimated later on through
Public Notice in leading newspapers and on our website i.e.gmch.gov.in.
