Applicable to central government schools ( KVS , NVS , Central Tibetan Schools etc. ) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh , Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Andaman and Nicobar Island and NCT of Delhi .
It may also be applicable to private unaided schools can exercise the option of considering the CTET .
The schools are owned and managed by the State Government / local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government .
( I ) Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in minimum educational level for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC / ST / OBC / disabilities.
( Ii ) Diploma / Degree Course in Teacher Education : For the purposes of this notification , a course of Diploma / Degree in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education ( NCTE ) only shall be considered . However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education ) and B. Ed (Special Education ) , a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India ( RCI ) only shall be considered .
( Iii ) Training to be undergone : A person with D.Ed (Special Education ) or qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education .
( Iv ) The minimum requirements listed above apply to teachers of Languages , Social Studies / Social Science , Mathematics, Science , etc. As for teachers of Physical Education, the minimum qualification norms for Physical Education teachers referred to in NCTE Regulation , dated November 3, 2001 (as amended from time to time ) will apply. For teachers of Art Education , Art Education , Home Science , Work Education , etc. the existing eligibility standards established by the State Governments and other school managements shall apply until such time the NCTE lays down the minimum requirements in relation to such teachers.
( V ) Candidates who are appearing in the final year of the Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Primary Education etc are admitted provisionally and CTET Certificate will be valid only for passing examinations mentioned .
(vi ) The candidate has no previous qualification will not be eligible to appear in the center of Teacher eligibility test .
