Higher Secondary Recruit ( SSR ) 01 /2015 Batch
Course Commencing February 2015
Online application is invited by the Indian Navy unmarried male citizens and subjects of Nepal and Bhutan for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR ) 01 /2015 batch Indian courses starting in February 2015 .
Educational Qualifications : – Qualified exam in 10 2 / equivalent with 60% or more marks in conjunction with Physics and Mathematics and at least one of these subjects; Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science .
Age: – Candidates must have been born between : – 1 August 1994 to 31 July 1997 ( both dates inclusive)
Pay and Allowances : – The Artificer Apprentices Basic Pay is Rs. 5200-20200 . In addition they will be paid Grade Pay@Rs.2000 / – plus MSP @ Rs . 2000 / – plus ‘ X’ Group Pay @ Rs . 1400 / – plus DA . During the entire period of training and thereafter , sailors are given books , reading material , uniform , food and accommodation etc. free.
SELECTION CRITERIA : – Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in
Written test , qualification of Physical Fitness Test ( PFT ) and fitness in the Medical Examinations
Written test – ( A) The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi ) and the lens type .
( B ) The question paper consists of four parts , ie English, Science , Mathematics and General Knowledge .
( C ) The standard of the question paper shall be 10 2 and the syllabus for the examination is also available on the website www.nausena – bharti.nic.in .
( D ) Duration of question paper will be one hour .
( E) Candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate .
Physical Fitness Test ( PFT ) .
( a) Classification in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection.
( B ) PFT will consist of 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups ( Uşak Baithak ) and 10 push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at your own risk .
Three . Medical Standards .
( A) The medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as the medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry .
( B ) The minimum height of 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate . The minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
( C ) Good mental , medical and physical health free from any disease / disability, likely to interfere with the efficient performance of its functions. Color perception : CP II.
( D ) No Cardio – vascular disease , surgical deformities like knock knee , flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment , varicose vein , corrective surgery for eye sight etc.
( E) medical standard should be in accordance with the detailed guidelines issued by IHQ MoD (Navy) in NO ( SPL ) 01 /2008.
